A permanent straightening option for clients with wavy, curly, coily, kinky, frizz-prone, humidity-prone, or not-quite-straight hair who want a pin-straight finish, reduced styling time, easier blow-drying, and easier flat ironing.
Japanese hair straightening, also called thermal reconditioning, is one of the permanent straightening options for clients who want pin-straight results instead of daily flat ironing. It uses a chemical solution and careful flat-ironing to reshape the hair's internal bonds into a straight form. Unlike Keratin Treatments, Amino Acid Treatments, Hair Botox, or Nanoplasty, it does not wash out, so it is recommended only after assessing your texture, density, hair history, and condition.
Treated hair remains straight; new growth is touched up at the roots over time, commonly around every six months. Sulfate-free, gentle care and minimal additional heat protect the result.
The straightened hair is permanent. New growth returns to your natural texture and is addressed with a root touch-up, usually around the six-month mark depending on growth.
